Critique of Inheritance posits that the inheritance of whiteness is much broader than simply a material inheritance. The film shows how certain facial features (constructed to be associated with whiteness) carry values and linguistic associations inherited from the legacy of race science, and reveals how these valuations have lingered in language and perception.
